Had a good day starting the big trip. Rode 551 miles, started at 7:30 am and got to hotel in Hillsville, VA around 5:30 pm. Temperature got up to mid 90s with a lot of sun and no rain. The Mighty GS ran great. Because I needed to cover some ground today I stayed almost entirely on interstates and didn't get off the beaten path. Although riding on I-95 in Georgia I crossed many rivers and creeks that were very high and moving a lot of water to the coast.
