The weather was pretty bad coming into Columbia Falls. For 3 days it was rainy, cold and windy. We didn't take any pictures to speak of so I didn't post anything.
We grabbed a bite when we got in Monday June 1 and rested up yesterday the 2nd until Ted and Sheila showed up from Calgary. They were tired but in good shape overall. They rented a BMW 1300GS and rode from Calgary to here yesterday. We all had a nice dinner last night.
Today we rode into Glacier National Park. The weather was perfect, 60s-70s and sunny. The only hang up was when Sooz and I took off from the hotel we noticed we had a flat tire. Ted helped me patch it and off we went to Glacier. A section of the Road to the Sun was closed due to avalanche warnings. We were able to ride on it for maybe 15-20 miles and then had to turn around. The lady at the desk said they have 85 feet of snow up there and it probably won't open until July.
Tomorrow we all head up to Waterton National Park in Canada.
All together
This is my route since leaving Gainesville and arriving in Columbia Falls 2 days ago. Since then I have started using a new SPOT tracker but I can't seem to link the old and the new routes. So, from now on the routing will only show tracking starting from today, like the image below. The link in the original email still works. You don't have to do anything.
The new tracker begins.

The end of the line on the Road to the Sun due to potential avalanches
We saw a momma brown bear and 3 baby cubs on the side of the road today. Being exposed on motorcycles was a tad nerve wracking but we scooted around them with no incidents.
