The weather today was beautiful, starting in the mid-40s and warming to mid-70s. Most of our ride today was on secondary roads that were mostly in great shape. We decided to check out Crater Lake. After a couple of construction delays we made it to the Crater Lake Lodge for a late lunch.
We had to climb up a huge snow pile to be able to see the lake. The lake's color was a deep blue reflecting off the clear sky. On the drive up, we were riding through snow 10-12 feet deep on the sides of the road. The workers at the Lodge said they received 43 feet of snow this year with is about 20 feet less than last year. The road to the Lodge was clear and mostly dry, there was no snow or ice of the road.
We're not sure where we are heading tomorrow, other than north towards Vancouver Island.
