Balkans September 6, 2018 Ljubljana, Slovenia

8:00 pm.  Beautiful weather today, low 80s, sunny and drier air.  Kind of laid low today after yesterday's marathon session.  We took the bike out and visited the local BMW shop and an impressive motorcycle gear retail shop.  The BMW dealer was a combined motorcycle and car dealer and very classy, more so than the motorcycle dealers in Florida.  The gear shop was also better than gear shops in Florida.  They had a wide selection of gloves, boots, jackets and helmets.  The shops in Florida seem to be carrying less and less merchandise on the floor, due to online sales.
Sooz found the restaurant recommended by the owner of our Airbnb unit.  I'm glad she did because it was really good.  Kind of a nice working class, solid food, no frills and very busy kind of place.  I had the goulash plate and Sooz had a salad.
We then went back to the room and mapped out the next couple of days.  We head to Bled tomorrow which begins our entry into the Julian Alps.  We reserved a place in Bled for tomorrow night and then listed and put into the GPS the sites and routes we want to cover over the next several days.
It's kind of hard to gauge times when mapping out routes.  The GPS and Google maps give distance and length of time between points, but we have found them to underestimate the times, probably because we go pretty slow in unfamiliar 2-lane mountain roads and we stop to take pictures.  So we have only made the one reservation for one night and see how we feel about where to stop after Bled.
