It really makes no sense to check the weather before we ride in Alaska. We use a couple of different weather and radar apps and they all said to expect mid 70s with no rain. Within a couple of hours it was raining, windy and in the mid 50s. We did okay after putting on rain gear but it just takes time from riding.
The roads were good overall with some dirt, construction, dips and bumps mixed in. We had sockeye salmon in Tok for dinner and got to our B&B around 8pm. Long day but everything went pretty well. I stayed in Tok on my way to Anchorage to meet Sooz about 2 weeks ago.
Tomorrow we ride 280 miles to Haines Junction in Yukon Territory, Canada. We will be bouncing back and forth between Canada and the US as we head south.
Just one of those days and many more to come. Glad you got new sneakers
